A big claim, though over the past 10 years Canberra has truly established itself as a mountain biking mecca. The trail network across five different riding areas has something to offer riders of all standards and with Stromlo Forest Park rising from the ashes of the 2004 bushfires to host international mountain bike events, Canberra is attracting riders from all over the country.

Majura Pines

The most famous and some of the oldest Capital trails, Majura boasts some truly fantastic riding containing both fast flowing and technical single-track, with a myriad of gully crossings, bridges and obstacles.

Sparrow Hill

Smooth flowing descents are somewhat of a trademark for Sparrow Hill. If you are looking for tight and tricky, then you should try the “Sparrow Loop”.

Limitless fire roads and 40 km of single track provides for a relaxing ride, as well as the possibility for some high speed peddaling on the easy gradient of the slopes of Kowen Forest.
